9/1/2023: We have officially moved to the University of Virginia! We are absolutely thrilled about embarking on this new journey and all the exciting possibilities that lie ahead!

1/3/2023: Our first research article on the role of ERAD in iron metabolism is published in PNAS! It was submitted on 7/22/22, revised on 10/24/22 and accepted on 11/18/22.

8/22/2022: Iris received the Wayne State University School of Medicine Research Excellence Award in Basic Science. We appreciate the award and encouragement.

8/15/2022: We received an R01 grant to study the biogenesis of fibrinogen in the ER. We appreciate this support very much!

6/13/2022: Welcome Dr. Zhijuan Gong to join the lab as a research associate.

6/2/2022: Nusrat received a Rumble GRA fellowship for the 2022-2023 academic year. Congratulations!

12/10/2021: Nusrat successfully passed her prospectus and oral exam. She is a PhD candidate now. Congratulations!

12/1/2021: We received our first R01 grant for studying ERAD and iron metabolism in the liver. We are very excited about this funding and the future research supported by it!
